Learn more at experianplc.comJob DescriptionThis successful candidate will be part of a very dynamic, highly motivated and fast-growing Analytics team in Italy and will develop analytical solutions to the benefit of our clients’ and their customers. He / She will be based in our Rome office.The role holder must have significant experience (5-6 years at least) in the development of analytical projects in the field of credit risk management, anti-fraud modelling and or Marketing. Knowledge and experience of regulatory-driven analytics (AIRB, IFRS9 etc.) and/or experience in development of machine learning models (especially applied to credit and fraud risk management) will be a major plus.Note: this position offers flexibility based on the candidate's experience and leadership capabilities. For more senior candidates, the role may include expanded team, project, and client management responsibilities, with compensation and expectations adjusted accordingly to reflect this increased scope.Consultancy and AnalyticsSupport and manage a team of analytical resources (Consultants Jr. Consultants, Analysts) in the development robust analytical solutions for different clients, primarily in the financial sector – this includes the development of statistical models and ad hoc data analysisBe responsible for understanding the project’s requirements and for communicating them to more junior staffEnsure that project deliverables are accurate and meet project scope and objectivesQuestion results through applied intelligence in a proactive way and interpret them into conclusions and recommendations to clientsPresent the project results to clients and/or to more senior members of ExperianPre-sales and Sales supportParticipate in pre-sales and sales meetings with clients and prospects to describe and position Experian’s analytics projects and propositions and to adapt it to the specific client’s needsProject ManagementPlan, organize and complete project work to meet team commitments within agreed timescalesQualificationsStrong personal motivation and commitment to resultsDegree in quantitative subjects (e.g. mathematics, economics, statistics, engineering, physics)Strong technical and analytical skillsGood experience in the design and implementation of credit risk modelsStrong knowledge of statistics and how statistical methodologies are employed in model developmentGood knowledge one or more of other major statistical packages (e.g. Python, SAS, WPS, SPSS, R)Established track record (at least four years) of delivering complex analytical projectsThe following abilities and skills will be considered a further advantage:Working experience of minimum capital regulation (i.e. Basel AIRB) and/or of accounting regulation like IFRS 9 and how it is applied to products and services like those provided by ExperianPrevious experience in analytics on Big Data platforms (e.g. Cloudera, Databricks) and related programming frameworks (e.g. Apache Spark)Working experience in Marketing AnalyticsLanguage RequirementsFluent in English – both written and spoken with working proficiencyLocal language – This role is based in our Italy office. While fluency in Italian is not required at the start, the successful candidate will be expected to develop functional Italian language skills within 12 months of joining.
