This is a newly created role designed for someone ready to step up - leading projects, mentoring intermediate engineers, and ensuring best-practice data engineering across the business. Desired Skills and Experience5+ years' experience in data or analytics engineering, BI development, or data warehousing.Strong coding skills in Python and SQL for data processing and transformation.Experience with cloud data platforms - AWS, Azure, or GCP.Hands-on experience with Databricks, dbt, Snowflake, or BigQuery (Databricks preferred).Proven ability in data modelling (star schema, dimensional models, analytical layers).Understanding of engineering best practices - CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, documentation.Solid grounding in data architecture and pipeline optimisation.Strong stakeholder communication and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.Collaborative, mentoring mindset with experience supporting junior engineers.Comfortable working in agile teams and adapting to evolving priorities.
