This position is essential for building up Bragi R&D in ChinaTasksRequirements analysis from both SoC vendor and Bragi : Feature and Mobile library offering and support by a given SoC vendor, Identify gaps between the vendors offering and Bragi's support and vise versaBragi FW and mobile middleware integration and validationMobile SDK adaptation to match to the existing SoC feature offering and firmware interfacesDeveloping and implementing advanced Android applications and librariesCollaborating in and with cross-functional teams (Product, Design and QA) to define, design, and launch new featuresEvaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance development efficiencyImproving performance, debugging and refactoringEnsuring robust and reliable software through focus on testabilityCommunication between the customer and Bragi's R&D in Europe: Identify blockers and suggest improved approaches and documentation for fast time to marketDesign, implement and improve support processes between the development teams in China and Europe e.g. documentation, extend or develop toolingSupport ODMs and test engineers (ODM, at Bragi) as part of the "Bragi certification program" to ensure a flawless support of the Bragi feature offeringRequirements5+ years of experience in Android developmentNative in Mandarin, Good English speaking as well as reading and writing (engineering work level) is mandatoryDeep knowledge of Java, Kotlin programming paradigmsExperience in working with either of the following chipsets: JieLi, WuQi, Actions, Bluetrum, BES, Qualcomm, AirohaSolid experience with standard Bluetooth without reliance on third-party librariesExperience with custom Bluetooth protocols without reliance on third-party librariesSolid understanding of Architectural Models and Design PatternsSolid understanding of the full mobile development life cycleAbility to understand business requirements and perform decomposition of a complex featureExperience with CI/CD (Gitlab) for mobileExperience with writing unit tests, - experience with automation testing is a plusOutstanding communication skills and the ability to drive improvement iterationsExperience in hiring and mentoring of other engineersNice to have:Knowledge of Reactive programming paradigmsPrevious experience with wearables or IoT devicesBenefitsA complex project that is exceptionally challenging and will change how audio is consumed foreverRemote work and flexible working hoursWork hand in hand with worldwide known audio brandsA chance to deliver a delightful experience to 25m+ users in the next 12 months (existing base is 10m+)A flexible Learning & Development program, choose where you want to improve yourself10 professional coaching sessions with experts to support your growth
