Senior Architect

JOB PURPOSE: GCL is looking to hire a Senior Architect who is responsible for leading the design and delivery of high-quality, sustainable landscape architecture projects across public realms, roadways, parks, planning, and infrastructure developments. The Senior Architect will develop innovative design concepts, provide technical leadership, and ensure design excellence from concept through project completion.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Lead the development and execution of landscape architecture designs in alignment with project objectives, standards, and client requirements.Independently manage complex design assignments utilizing advanced landscape architecture principles and techniques.Develop original and innovative design concepts, criteria, and detailed solutions.Prepare high-quality presentation materials including drawings, renderings, 3D models, and animations.Mentor and provide technical guidance to CADD Designers and Drafters.Oversee preparation of shop drawing packages from concept design through detailed design, tender, and contract documentation.Draft and review design reports, client submissions, and responses to review comments.Manage sensitive and confidential project information with professionalism.Support project teams to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality project delivery.EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION:Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.Minimum Experience: 4-8 years of relevant landscape design experience, preferably on large-scale public projects.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:Job Specific:Proficiency in landscape design, planting, and irrigation planning.Strong command of CADD, 3D modeling, and rendering software.Ability to develop innovative, practical design solutions that align with project goals and budgets.Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.Strong organizational ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks effectively.Generic Skills: Cross-cultural agility and strong interpersonal skills.High emotional intelligence with the ability to collaborate effectively in a client-focused, team-oriented environment.Knowledge of construction processes, landscape, civil structures, and utilities considered an asset.Proficiency in English (spoken and written).Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
