Job Description

What you’ll be doingOur dispute resolution group has been involved in the most significant global offshore disputes and complex cross-border restructurings and insolvencies of recent times, winning keynote victories for our clients and often helping shape the law.As a key part of the team, you will work on a range of commercial litigation and insolvency matters, These will include very high-value, complex disputes from urgent interim relief applications to trial, including shareholder disputes, injunctions and commercial trials.ResponsibilitiesProvide tailored legal advice and action accordingly through:Effective note taking and recording of clear instructionsExcellent research skillsAn ability to produce first-class legal opinions on complex areas of law and fact patternsProvide concise letters and reports for clients, written in plain languageDraft concise documents in plain languageInterview and advise clients, helping them decide the best course of actionAn ability to produce confident written and oral advocacy in a time sensitive environmentBusiness generation:Contribute to appropriate business development activities of the team and the firmWherever the opportunity arises, promote the services of teams from across the firm to the client for whom you are actingActively participate in thought leadershipIntroduce new clients to the firmAchieve agreed business development targets Identify and attend appropriate networking opportunitiesQualifications and experienceQualified solicitor with 8-12 years PQE Experience in Commercial Litigation, ideally restructuring and insolvency or trustsExperience with a top tier international firm (magic circle advantageous) Why Harneys?
