Senior AWS Data Engineer

emagine is looking for a highly skilled Senior AWS Data Engineer to join a central migration team as part of a major cloud transformation program for a client. The focus will be on database migration and transformation from technologies such as MS SQL, Oracle, and Postgres into AWS RDS Postgres, leveraging AWS migration tools and best practices.Main ResponsibilitiesUse standard solutions and AWS technologies for all migrations.Identify technical gaps and collaborate with internal AWS teams.Manage database migrations to RDS Postgres, mainly from MSSQL and Oracle.Set up monitoring and alerting systems together with internal teams.Optimize RDS Postgres databases for performance and cost efficiency.Ensure compliance with internal architecture and development standards.Engage with stakeholders to align technical and business goals.Key RequirementsStrong experience in database transformation (e.g., MSSQL to Postgres or Oracle to Postgres).Extensive knowledge of Postgres, MSSQL, and Oracle.Proficiency in AWS migration services (DMS, SCT).Expertise in AWS technologies (RDS, EC2, EKS, CloudWatch, IAM).Experience in optimizing AWS resources for performance and cost-efficiency.Capability in automated database deployment using GitHub Actions.Nice to HaveAWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).Experience in multi-cloud environments, especially Azure migrations.Familiarity with distributed systems, serverless solutions, and cloud security.Other InformationStart: January 1st 2026Duration: 6 months + possibility of extensionLocation: GentofteWorkload: Full-timeOnsite/Remote: Minimum 2 days onsite
