To achieve this we built a flexible, remote-first and async-first startup environment with inclusive benefits and full transparency about how we pay.What you'll doHarden & expand our backendOur backend runs on Hapi.js, Golang and a mix of AWS and bare metal server monitoring infrastructure, distributed around the globe. We ran over 2.5 billion checks already and are ramping up for a lot more.To give you a clear idea of what the job could entail, here are some examples of the work we’ve done lately or will start soon:Implement a custom playwright reporter that allows customers to send test results from their CI runs into Checkly. Work with infra to deploy our own Clickhouse instance to capture check run logs and metadata. Design and implement an API on this datastore that allows customers to run reports on their check runs. Work with a customer to hunt down a bug that lets certain checks fail in their private location infrastructure. You will spearhead an AI Agent prototype to that allows customers to generate Playwright tests for their existing codebase. You'll work on scaling our current backend platform to meet the demands of our growing business, and participate in our on-call rotation to keep everything running smoothly around the clock. What you should haveYou have deep experience in building applications in a professional product (SaaS) environment, ideally with TypeScript. (Go would be a plus.)You’re exited about developer tooling, and Playwright. You have experience building distributed systems on AWS or bare metal servers. Therefore we work with a standardized salary calculator that includes several factors such as seniority level as well as location.For this role, the range is€88k-€107k for someone in a similar cost of market as UK, Germany etc. €79k-€97k for someone in a similar cost of market as Spain, Poland, Ukraine etc. ApplyIf this sounds interesting, please apply!
