You'll bring advanced knowledge of the Building Act, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of compliance.You Will HaveA Regulation 18 qualification in building, architecture, building science, or a related fieldStrong experience as a Building Officer with current competency at Residential 1-3 and Commercial 1-3 levelsAdvanced knowledge of the Building Act, NZ Building Code, regulations, and local government frameworksExcellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to mentor and support othersA customer-focused approach, adaptability to change, and strong computer literacyA current clean driver's licenceAbout UsAt Hutt City Council our vision is to build a connected, resilient and inclusive city where all our people thrive.
