The candidate will be joining a team of high-performing Business Analyst and Project Managers who are responsible for supporting our clients’ requirements for changes in business processes, policies and information systems. Candidate will have responsibility for liaising with business teams and client in order to elicit, analyse, communicate and validate requirements for changes in business processes, policies and information systems. This is a highly visible, client-facing role and requires working closely with Business, Technical and Test teams to deliver projects for our clients.Key Responsibilities Complete initial Analysis of Change RequestsAnalyse and document “as is” and “to be” business processes and data mappingsAnalyse new system functionality to understand in detail how it can support and will impact business functionsWork with Business teams to understand requirements, scope and acceptance criteriaDrive and challenge Business teams on their assumptions of how they can execute business processesInterpretation of business needs and translation into application and operational requirementsDevelop requirement specifications according to standard templates using natural languageWalkthroughs of requirements with Business, Technology and Test teamsObtain appropriate Business and Client sign-offWork closely with technical teams and business users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfactionAssistance with & execution of User Acceptance Testing as requiredWriting User Manuals, Training Material and Application Support Documents as required.Ad-hoc Problem SolvingEnsure that specialist knowledge is kept current and disseminated as appropriate and be aware of possible future developments and trends.Reporting of progress to Project ManagerEscalation of risks and issues to Project ManagerSupport the evolution of the BA Charter/Methodology to industry best practiceSupport the evolution of the BA process with our core system development teams.Ensure documentation is created to the relevant standardProactively identify and act on opportunities to improve current processes to meet the changing requirements of customers, to improve efficiency, or to reduce riskKey Skills & Experience3 to 5 years of business analysis experience in financial servicesWorking knowledge of Transfer Agency and Transfer Agency systems is preferredAbility to work across and become proficient in multiple systemsGood organisational skillsStrong attention to detailAbility to work to deadlinesStrong problem solving skillsExcellent communication, interaction and influencing skillsSelf motivated, innovative and analyticalAbility to fully analyse and evaluate several potential alternatives to a given challenge and present the results to the appropriate stakeholders to enable a decision on the optimal solutionAbility to work well both as an individual and part of a teamExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced PC skills including MS Office: (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook, Visio)A proactive approach to problem solving, taking ownership of issues and having determination to follow things throughGood prioritisation and time managementAbility to clearly define requirements in significant details leaving no room for misinterpretationAbility to engage successfully in multiple initiatives simultaneouslyBusiness Analysis and requirements gathering skills and knowledge are essential for this role.Good understanding of User Acceptance TestingEnd to end experience of project lifecyclePrevious experience of implementation of new applicationsBusiness Analysis qualification is desirable
