As kaitiaki (guardian) of Auckland Council facilities, we play a vital role in promoting the wellbeing of our communities while also delivering strategically significant programmes.Reporting into the Planning & Reporting Manager, as part of your role you’ll: Confidently engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand the business requirements and implement tools and processes to enable insights and analysis to provide the business with quality information to help inform decision making Bring experience working with complex datasets from various sources Contribute to design, develop, validate and document accurate and reliable datasets, and user-friendly, fit-for-purpose self-serve business intelligence reports that are meaningful to their target audience This will require strong experience in Power BI, Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.Your scope will also include identifying areas for improvement in process or technology, as well as actions and opportunities, using data-driven recommendations, and effectively communicating this to the business. He kōrero mōu: About you As an experienced analyst with proven ability in utilising data and knowledge to generate insights, you’ll have excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy and the ability to quickly analyse and report on large volumes of data.With a curiosity for learning and delivering on new ideas or ways of working you’ll have experience in analysing a wide range of information and reporting on it including the use of Power BI, excel, PowerPoint. You’ll back these skills up with the influencing and persuasion skills necessary to achieve results with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.You’ll be progressive and experienced in reporting and publication, interpreting patterns and/or useful trends in complex data sets that drive business and service performance by empowering our decision-makers with quality advice, results, trends and insights with the ability to streamline and simplify the information delivery.
