Senior Buying & Merchandising Executive

Responsibilities:Buying & ProcurementPlan and manage merchandise buying strategies aligned with company objectives and market demands.Place orders by brand according to Open-to-Buy (OTB) and stock targets.Manage reorders, early deliveries, cancellations, and centrally owned stock based on OTB analysis.Liaise with brand principals for order submissions, inventory tracking, and shipment coordination.Evaluate product assortment based on pricing, quality, trends, and customer demand.Stay updated on market trends and competitor activity to support forward planning and forecasting.Merchandising & PlanningAnalyze sales performance, customer behavior, and market trends to anticipate product needs.Monitor stock levels and movements; plan markdowns, promotions, price adjustments, and clearances.Ensure accurate and timely product delivery and stock availability across channels.Recommend and plan product range selections that balance commercial viability and brand alignment.Cross-functional CollaborationCollaborate closely with internal departments including retail operations, e-commerce, warehouse, and wholesale teams.Maintain effective communication and professional relationships with brand principals and key stakeholders.Attend relevant meetings and trade shows to support product planning and trend identification.Reporting & AnalysisConduct data-driven analysis to support buying and merchandising decisions.Prepare and present regular reports on sales, inventory performance, and strategic opportunities.Ensure accurate documentation of buying activities including pricing, promotions, and delivery tracking.Requirements:Degree/Diploma in Business, Marketing, Fashion Merchandising, or related field.Minimum 3–4 years of relevant experience in buying and/or merchandising, preferably in fashion, retail, or lifestyle brands.Strong analytical and commercial skills with a good eye for trends and product selection.Excellent Excel skills (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP); proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal.Highly organized with sound decision-making, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities.Able to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Experience working cross-functionally in a collaborative team environment.Willing to travel locally or internationally as needed.Passionate about retail, fashion, or sports-lifestyle industry.
