With operations in 13+ countries, we combine deep market and policy expertise with digital MRV systems to make climate finance scalable, inclusive, and trustworthy.As we expand our portfolio and enter compliance markets (Article 6, CORSIA), we are looking for a hands-on carbon market professional to originate and structure new projects — and to help drive our strategic position in international frameworks and government partnerships.About the RoleAs a (Senior) Carbon Market Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of our carbon compliance project pipeline — from sourcing and structuring new projects to working with governments on Article 6 and CORSIA pathways. This role is both strategic and operational, with full responsibility for project development, certification readiness, commercialization, and future team leadership.Depending on your experience, this role offers a development path toward becoming Head of Carbon Markets, with the mandate to build your own team and portfolio.Your Key ResponsibilitiesProject Development & CertificationIdentify and assess new project opportunities (e.g. reforestation, clean cooking, renewables, agroforestry)Conduct feasibility assessments, risk analysis, and carbon potential evaluationsAlign project design with recognized carbon methodologies and MRV/dMRV standardsDrive projects through validation, registration, and certification (Verra, Gold Standard, Plan Vivo, etc.)Prepare and manage MRV & dMRV processes in coordination with internal data teams and external auditorsEnsure project milestones for certification, issuance, and platform listing are metDocumentation & Platform ReadinessDevelop and maintain high-quality technical and commercial documentation, including:Project Design Documents (PDDs)Sales briefs, investor decks, and co-benefit summariesBuyer-facing content such as impact one-pagers and ESG storylinesEnsure timely listing of projects on carbon registries and platforms (Verra, Gold Standard, national or digital marketplaces)Government & Policy EngagementLead compliance strategy development, with a focus on Article 6 and CORSIA implementationBuild strong relationships with governments, ministries, and multilateral institutionsSupport NDC implementation, ITMO structuring, and registry alignment in collaboration with public-sector partnersRepresent Econetix in consultations with international policy stakeholders and standard settersBuyer Engagement & CommercializationActively support project positioning toward carbon credit buyersParticipate in outbound sales conversations and commercial negotiationsDeliver regular updates to clients and stakeholders, including progress reports and visual documentationServe as a bridge between technical project teams and market-facing storytellingWhat You Bring6–8+ years in carbon markets or climate finance, with strong exposure to both technical implementation and policy mechanismsDeep understanding of Article 6.2 / 6.4, CORSIA, and related international frameworksProven ability to work directly with government bodies or international institutionsExperience transitioning VCM projects into compliance-eligible pipelinesFamiliarity with carbon crediting standards, MRV protocols, and registry processesExcellent stakeholder, communication, and intercultural skillsFluent English; French, Arabic, or Swahili a plusWhat We OfferStrategic ownership to build and scale a compliance carbon portfolioDevelopment path to Head of Carbon Markets, with the opportunity to build your own expert teamStrong visibility across the organization with close collaboration with the CEO and leadershipHigh-impact work: help drive transparent and cost-effective climate finance at scaleMission-driven, hands-on culture with real decision-making powerFlexible working: remote-friendly setup, Vienna preferredCompetitive salary with performance-based variable compensationHow to ApplySend your CV to career@econetix.net or reach out via LinkedIn DM.We look forward to building the future of net-zero with you.
