LocationOur Senior Cloud Architect will be an integral part of our Forward Deployed Engineering team in APAC.This role is based remotely in Japan (work from home) with occasional business travel to Tokyo. Here is how we do it: a day in the life of a Cloud Architect @ DoiT.We are looking for people to join us on our mission and share the honour and delight of being able to help companies to realize their ideas into successful products.ResponsibilitiesThis role offers you the chance to:Apply your hands-on experience & skills in a consultative manner to address our customers’ strategic and tactical needs around cloud technologiesGrow your technical and interpersonal skills by addressing customer challenges in your daily work and leveraging dedicated time allocated by the company for learning new technologies and engaging in internal initiativesStrengthen your personal brand through thought leadership activities such as blogging, public speaking, and participation in technology eventsQualificationsVerbal and written fluency in both Japanese and EnglishThe expertise to architect, develop, and troubleshoot large production-grade distributed systems on AWS, and select the appropriate tools to tackle business problems at the right scaleExperience with Docker and KubernetesA programming background with shell scripts and one or more of the following: C, C++, Java, Python, Go, or RustNetworking experience (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, SDN, and VPNs)Experience troubleshooting Linux machines (e.g., system resource management, cgroups, storage and file systems, network configuration, and so on)Familiarity with debugging, refactoring, and optimizing code, and the experience to know when and how to automate tasksBe open to study and work with Google Cloud Platform productsAre you a Do’er?At DoiT, we value our transparent work culture.
