The Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation is seeking an exceptional AO6 Senior Communications Officer for a permanent role. In addition, this role develops material for the department's online channels including websites, engagement platforms, social media and electronic direct mail as well as advertisements, brochures, factsheets, reports etc.This role is responsible for incorporating targeted communications approaches into departmental communication strategies and activities, and liaising with internal business units to develop key messages and appropriate content for delivery via these channels.The roleAs The Senior Communication Officer, You Will Develop and implement communication strategies and activities for delivery across a range of communication channels. Research, write and edit a range of communications materials. Undertake research and acquire knowledge of communications best practice and emerging trends. Project manage communication projects adhering to client specifications, budget and departmental priorities and timelines. Provide specialist communications support and advice to internal and external clients. Establish and maintain communication networks with both internal and external clients including executive management, regional and divisional offices. Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
