Exercising effective communication, leadership, delegation, team leading and relationship-building skills, as well as contributing to the priorities of the team and the business are among the characteristics that your future role at Deloitte shall encompass.In this role, you will strongly commit to personal learning and development and explore opportunities to make an impact that matters by delivering exceptional client services and act as a brand ambassador to help attract top talent.During your tenure as a Senior Consultant / Assistant Manager (Economist or Lawyer) you will demonstrate and develop your ability to:Develop knowledge of current tax legislation across the Global Tax and Legal function and demonstrate subject matter specialty, by understanding how business functions operate and how sector trends impact a client’s business;Collect, assimilate and analyze data using standard processes and tools to help surface and support solutions for solving problems in the Tax and Legal business;Develop people through effectively delegating tasks and providing guidance, leading a team of professionals into delivering projects with high quality and efficiency;Encourage the team to collaborate within and across businesses and borders, proactively help make connections;Run and supervise client engagement teams, provide prompt and quality solutions to clients and assist the Partner and/or Director and/or Senior Manager in building long-term relationships with clients;Produce high quality work products and collaborate with your colleagues to deliver a superior client experience;Deliver key messages with clarity, confidence and poise to instill confidence in clients;Apply technology knowledge (where possible) to address client business challenges or improve work efficiency and client service;Apply a global and diverse perspective to problem solving.#WinningRequirementsPotential candidates should fulfill the following criteria:A Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or Law from a well-acclaimed University in Greece or abroad;At least 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience within a professional services firm or law firm, specializing in similar tax associated matters;An outstanding academic track record;Excellent command of Greek and English language (both orally and in writing);A professional approach, business acumen and strong communication skills;Highly motivated and results-oriented approach, eager to face or explore new challenges;Proven team leading skills and capabilities;Computer literacy (Microsoft office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint).The following skills would be considered as assets, although they are not requiredA Master’s degree in Tax, European or International Law (LL.M) will be considered a strong asset Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related disciplines would be equally considered as a strong asset;Completion of the Long-Term TAX Seminar provided by AUEB or other providers;Prior experience in handling client engagements, researching and effectively applying tax legislation applicable locally or in other foreign tax jurisdictions (international) drafting/preparing client reports or tax related proposals, as well as in effectively interpreting tax provisions and demonstrating tax technical knowledge/skills or accurately completing tax calculations;Prior experience demonstrated through the capability of being easily accustomed to apply Firm policies and internal procedures;Ability to work effectively within a team, delegating tasks to other team members or keeping more senior team members updated on the progress of your assigned tasks/work;Prior experience in Tax Audits & review processes (tax certificate, tax compliance matters).The experience and skills of each candidate will determine the level for which they will qualify for.#AboutTaxManaging taxes is a critical part of an effective business strategy and our Tax Business offers clients a broad range of fully integrated tax services by using the help of modern technology.
