We’re seeking a Senior Contract Manager – Water to join our Florida team and play a critical role in managing the commercial and contractual aspects of major engineering and design-build programs, including Public-Private Partnerships (P3) and Alternative Delivery methods.As a senior member of our team, you’ll provide leadership in contract development, administration, and compliance throughout the entire contract lifecycle—from award through implementation and close-out. You’ll ensure that contractors, vendors, and suppliers meet all contractual obligations while maintaining alignment with program objectives.In this role, you’llLead the development and implementation of robust processes, templates, and policies for contract management across all phases of the project.Oversee contract administration to ensure compliance with commercial terms, including change management, subcontracting, DBE & small business reporting, and KPI distribution.Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) on program contract packages, providing guidance on risk management, cost controls, and earned value for high-value construction and installation contracts.Provide strategic oversight and guidance on P3 and Alternative Delivery projects, ensuring alignment with contractual frameworks and stakeholder expectations.Mentor and support team members, ensuring adherence to program requirements and best practices.Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to prepare reports, deliver presentations, and communicate key contract performance metrics.Key ResponsibilitiesManage timelines for contract development and execution.Review and approve project charges, addressing variances and deficiencies as needed.Monitor project schedules and resolve contract-related issues during construction.Present contract and budget updates to leadership on a regular basis.Ensure financial accountability and monitor expenditures for contracts and subcontracts.Oversee payment approvals, analyze discrepancies, and ensure timely corrections.Direct post-construction activities, including contract close-out and compliance reporting.Here's what you'll needBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field from an accredited institution (or equivalent combination of education and experience).Extensive experience in applying engineering principles and practices within water, construction, and design-build projects, including quality assurance and quality control methodologies.Strong knowledge of state and federal standards for water-related construction, constructability review processes, and issue resolution strategies.Proven experience managing P3 and Alternative Delivery contracts, including familiarity with risk allocation, performance metrics, and stakeholder coordination.Ability to interpret and apply laws and regulations related to water projects at both local and federal levels.Proficiency in using computer applications and software tools, including financial and construction management systems.Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for managing and analyzing complex data sets.Demonstrated experience in contract administration, construction management, and engineering, with a proven track record of ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.Ideally, you’ll also haveLegal or paralegal training or relevant experience supporting contract negotiations and compliance.Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
