Senior contractmanager

We are looking for a Senior Contract Manager focused on supervising the entire EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) contract lifecycle for major energy projects (approx. €500 million oversight). The primary mission is to protect the company's financial and legal interests from commissioning through final dispute resolution.Key Focus Areas & ImpactFinancial & budgetary impact: The role directly ensures optimal financial outcomes, targeting approx. €5 million in annual savings/budget management (benchmarked at 10% of the EPC contract value).Strategic contract management: Managing all contractual aspects (claims, variations, disputes) of the EPC and workpackage contracts, ensuring strict compliance across HSE, planning, costs, risks, and quality.Legal interface & risk mitigation: Serves as the critical link and potential backup for the Legal, Contract, and Insurance Manager (LCIM). Must proactively identify and mitigate contractual risks and provide expert contract interpretation and documentation (including preparing for arbitration).Project leadership support: Works with the Project Management team to foster a strong health and safety culture and attends site meetings to resolve technical/contractual issues while preserving the project's rights and entitlements.Required ExpertiseA strong understanding of contract agreements, associated risks, and solid knowledge of legal, financial, and contractual terminology.Essential prior experience in contract management in combined cycles (or similar heavy industry/energy projects) and managing relationships with OEM and EPC contractors.Fluent in both written and oral French and English. Requires strong negotiation skills and a structured, rigorous approach with keen attention to detail.
