Reporting directly to the Controller of the Waste-to-Energy Division and working closely with the Plant Manager and senior operational leadership, this position ensures accurate, timely, and insightful financial information is provided to support critical business decision-making, operational efficiency, and financial sustainability.Primary Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe monthly financial close for the plant including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis in compliance with IFRS and corporate guidelines.Partner with operations and project teams to plan, track, and execute capital projects including preparing capital expenditure returns, monitoring spend, and forecasting cost savings.Responsible for preparing the monthly invoice for the county and submitting it to Fort Lauderdale for processing into SAP.Assist in preparing the annual budget and required forecasts for the plant and in the preparation of the monthly analysis of variances to the budget and forecast.Provide analysis and otherwise support the plant by identifying areas of opportunity for improvement.Monitoring and reporting of aged inventory in order to prepare appropriate reserves.Assist in gathering information and analysis required for external/internal auditors.
