Beyond service delivery, our academy empowers professionals with essential digital skills, and our AI research division is pioneering the future of technology.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Lead Trainer & Programme Coordinator to lead the delivery and coordination of the programme at a private University in Ogun state. The successful candidate will oversee the Cybersecurity Lab, coordinate with university faculty, deliver technical training, and ensure the programme’s overall quality and impact.Key Responsibilities• Lead the implementation and delivery of Sycom’s cybersecurity curriculum at the University.• Deliver lectures, hands-on labs, and workshops across domains such as Network Security, Incident Response, Ethical Hacking, and Cloud Security.• Supervise cybersecurity lab operations and ensure tools and environments meet international standards.• Mentor students and junior trainers; guide them toward professional certifications.• Facilitate collaboration with the university faculty members to align academic and practical outcomes.• Oversee work experience modules, CTF events, and internship readiness sessions.• Ensure programme documentation, reporting, and performance evaluations are completed as required.Required Qualifications & Experience• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.• Minimum of 7 years of relevant cybersecurity experience.• Recognised professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH, AWS/Azure Cloud.• Proven track record in cybersecurity education, consulting, or SOC operations.• Excellent communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.• Familiarity with academic environments and curriculum integration is an advantage.Desirable Attributes• Experience in running training labs or managing cybersecurity educational programmes.• Strong understanding of hands-on tools and simulation environments.• Demonstrated ability to inspire and guide young cybersecurity professionals.Why Join Sycom?At Sycom, you’ll play a key role in shaping the next generation of cybersecurity professionals in Africa.
