About the jobJoin our research team as an experienced data analyst, delivering actionable data driven insights across diverse global shipping, trade, offshore, renewables and energy datasets. You’ll help us build and derive valuable data used widely to analyse impacts of market trends, geopolitics and decarbonisation.What you’ll be doing:Use the latest data science tools and techniques for data processing, analysis and visualisation Lead planning and implementing of pipelines for processing and analysing complex data Work with stakeholders, analysts, data engineers and developers across our global networkManage project tasks and track deliverablesEnsure data integrity throughout all stages of data developmentDevelop AI and ML techniques to extract, transform, derive, aggregate and validate dataYou’ll need to have:Full rights to work in the UK permanently4 years’ experience in data analytics or data science working with complex dataExcellent demonstratable SQL skills including complex queries and stored proceduresSolid Python and Spark/ Databricks skills and an understanding of delta tablesStrong numerical, data handling and analytical skills in relation to complicated data models A degree in relevant numerate or analytical subjectAbility to communicate insights clearly and using visualisation tools such as Power BIGood organisational skills and strong attention to detailWe love to see:Appreciation of the wider data science technology landscape Curiosity and willingness to learn new techniques, programming languages and software toolsAwareness of global trade, economics and statisticsWorking at Clarksons Research:Clarksons Research is the leading global provider of intelligence and research across shipping, trade, offshore and energy.
