Senior Data Analyst

Key Responsibilities:Maintain, optimise, and continuously enhance the central data model supporting risk and credit operations.Perform in-depth data profiling, validation, and analysis to identify opportunities for model improvement and ensure data accuracy and consistency.Define and implement complex data mapping and transformation rules to align source systems with the target data model.Collaborate closely with IT developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to ensure accurate implementation of specifications and alignment with business objectives.Conduct detailed functional and technical testing, validate data developments, and support deployment into production environments.Partner with data stewards to monitor and improve data quality across multiple systems.Provide second- and third-line analytical support to risk reporting teams, back-office users, and management.Design, develop, and maintain advanced reports and dashboards in Business Objects (BO) to enable proactive risk and credit monitoring.Prepare clear and comprehensive documentation covering requirements, data flows, and transformation logic.Experience & Skills Required:5–10 years of experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or Functional Analyst within large-scale IT or financial environments.Advanced SQL expertise, with proven experience in querying, optimisation, and handling complex datasets.Strong experience in data modelling, data validation, and analytics for risk and credit management functions.Hands-on experience with Business Objects (BO) — capable of building complex reports and performance dashboards.Solid understanding of credit risk processes and exposure to risk data frameworks within the banking or financial sector.Proven experience working with Agile teams and supporting development squads.Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word).Experience with large databases (Oracle, Sybase IQ), ETL tools (Informatica), or Linux environments is a strong plus.Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
