Job Title: Senior Data Scientist – Predictive Analytics & AI (2 Openings)Location : Colombo Client : USAPackage : Open to discussAbout the RoleWe’re seeking a passionate and results-driven Senior Data Scientist to join our client’s technology and analytics team. In this role, you’ll design and deliver advanced machine learning solutions that power data-driven decisions and automation across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, train, and deploy machine learning and AI models for predictive insights and process automation.Analyze large and complex datasets to uncover trends and generate actionable insights.Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to develop data-driven solutions.Develop robust data pipelines and workflows for model training and deployment.Apply advanced analytics to enhance areas such as risk modeling, fraud detection, and customer analytics.Present analytical outcomes and recommendations through compelling visualizations and reports.Stay ahead of emerging tools, techniques, and technologies in AI and data science.Skills & CompetenciesStrong programming experience with Python or R, and proficiency in SQL.Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).Expertise in data preparation, feature engineering, and statistical modeling.Ability to interpret business challenges and convert them into technical solutions.Excellent communication skills, especially when presenting insights to non-technical audiences.Strong problem-solving mindset and ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related discipline.Minimum 3 years of experience in data science, analytics, or AI model development.Exposure to large-scale data environments (Spark, Hadoop, or similar).Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is an advantage.Prior experience in financial services, fintech, or risk analytics will be a strong plus.
