Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our team.In this role, you will take the lead in applying advanced data science and machine learning techniques to address complex supply chain challenges, optimize processes, and improve decision-making. You will work autonomously while collaborating with Supply Chain engineering teams to develop and implement impactful solutions, leveraging cutting-edge AI and data-driven strategies to shape our supply chain vision. ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms tailored to supply chain applications, such as demand forecasting, inventory optimization, network design, and logistics optimizationCollaborate closely with Supply Chain engineering teams to understand business processes, technical constraints, and data requirementsManage end-to-end data science projects independently, including problem definition, data exploration, model development, deployment, and performance monitoringUtilize expertise in Generative AI to create applications that integrate AI servicesApply knowledge of time-series analysis, forecasting, and statistical modeling techniques to supply chain data and external data sourcesPerform detailed data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and areas for improvement across the supply chainPresent findings, insights, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences through effective visualizations and presentationsStay updated with the latest advancements in AI and supply chain technologies, experimenting with emerging techniques and solutionsDevelop and implement end-to-end solutions for batch and real-time algorithms, including monitoring, logging, automated testing, performance testing, and A/B testing RequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, Supply Chain Management, or a related fieldAt least 3 years of experience in data science and machine learning, with a focus on supply chain applicationsProficiency in cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with experience using ML tools like MLFlowExpertise in working with both relational SQL and NoSQL databasesAdvanced programming skills in languages like Python, R, Scala, or Rust, along with experience using machine learning libraries and frameworksStrong understanding of supply chain principles, processes, and data structuresProven experience in deploying data science solutions that improve supply chain performanceExceptional problem-solving abilities and analytical skills for tackling complex challenges creativelyEffective verbal and written communication skills for collaborating across teams and explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersPassion for staying informed about industry trends and sharing knowledge with team membersHands-on experience with Generative AI services and open-source modelsAbility to work independently and manage projects with minimal supervisionExperience thriving in fast-paced, dynamic work environmentsFluent English proficiency, both written and spoken, at a B2+ level or higher Nice to haveExperience with distributed computing frameworks such as SparkStrong knowledge of deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, with hands-on experience developing complex AI models We offerInternational projects with top brandsWork with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peersHealthcare benefitsEmployee financial programsPaid time off and sick leaveUpskilling, reskilling and certification coursesUnlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ coursesGlobal career opportunitiesVolunteer and community involvement opportunitiesEPAM Employee GroupsAward-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
