A voluntary role with the potential for paid opportunities, working with hyfen8 provides you with a rare opportunity to learn and and grow from an exciting tech start up centred on datascience! Working with our product, data science and engineering teams, you will build and test data science models, productionise financial and business models. You’ll also get to build machine learning processes, build and test applied NLP, sentiment analytics and train back-end agents, rapidly expanding the data science kitchen from which our hyfen8 platform sources its insights.What you’ll do:Design and run Databricks pipelines that transform inputs into usable signalsApply analytics and modelling to uncover business performance drivers and value multipliersBuild models, NLP workflows, and GenAI-powered analytics ready for productisationTrain hyfen8 backend agents using data science models and reasoning guardrailsDrive exploratory R&D while ensuring outputs can embed cleanly into our SaaS platformCollaborate with engineering and product teamsTranslate use cases into actionable customer insights.The skills and experience you’ll have:Advanced quantitative methods and statistical analysis skillsExperience with GenAI, NLP, and machine learning in applied settingsProven skills in Python, SQL and data visualisationHands-on experience with Databricks for data engineering, analytics, and ML workflowsA pragmatic approach: test fast, extract insight, refine, deployAbility to operate independently while contributing to a high-velocity team(Bonus) background in econometrics, financial and/or business analytics.The fine printContract virtual role, sync meetings with team, flexibility on location and hoursWe’re a diverse and collaborative team who highly value a fit to our cultureImpact matters: we need you to be confident you can hit the ground running.If you’re passionate about building models that describe, predict and prescribe insights that users value and can’t get anywhere else, we’d love you to join our exceptional team.
