About the Role:We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Database Administrator with a solid background in database technologies to help us drive the next phase of our infrastructure evolution. Your primary mission will be to increase the level of automation and establish structured, scalable maintenance processes for our database systems in secure production environments. Responsibilities:Maintain database systems on a safe operational level with optimal performance and uptimeDesign and implement database systems aligned with business requirementsApply patches, upgrades, and changes as neededRoll out the existing Always On concept for critical production databasesSupport backup and recovery processes in collaboration with internal IT providers and customersManage database user access and security hardeningMonitor and resolve database issues using tools like Foglight, PRTG, ELK, Grafana, and SplunkEnsure seamless data synchronization and replication across distributed systemsConduct performance evaluations, tests, and analysis to ensure business continuity, data security, and integrityDefine and enforce database policies, procedures, and standardsProvide technical support to solve incoming incidentsTroubleshoot database-related application issues with DevOps teamsContribute to conceptual work on database enhancements and extensionsTrain and support team members and DevOps teams in efficient database designOptimize query performance and implement indexing strategiesSkills & Qualifications: 5-10 years of experience as a Senior DB Engineer/AdministratorHands-on experience with MSSQL and NoSQL databasesExpertise in T-SQL, scripting, CASE tools, and third-party DB toolsDeep understanding of monitoring, replication, reporting, and data securityFamiliarity with database design, documentation, and coding standardsMicrosoft Azure Database Administrator Associate certification (or equivalent) is a plusExperience with containerized databases (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) is a plusEnsure seamless data synchronization & replication between distributed database systems across frontends and backendsStrong problem-solving and algorithmic thinkingExcellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex topicsExperience working in distributed, multicultural teamsBusiness acumen and understanding of IT requirementsAbility to manage fast-paced, context-switching environments
