Senior DBA & AI Platform Engineer

Core Responsibilities (Core Platform Engineering & Database Management)SQL Server Management and Performance: - Oversee data migration and upgrades of SQL Server systems, ensuring stability and performance. - Improve database performance (Performance Tuning) with deep expertise in diagnosing and resolving Slow Queries and Stored Procedures. - Implement and maintain high-availability (HA) OLTP databases in both On-premise and Cloud environments.Monitoring and Cloud Cost Optimization: - Use specialized tools (SolarWinds DPA and SQL Sentry) to monitor SQL Server clusters. - Lead cloud database cost control (Database FinOps) through Instance assessment and scaling (Right-Sizing) and defining automated shutdown schedules. - Use cloud database performance monitoring tools such as Amazon RDS Performance Insights and standard features of MongoDB Atlas (Performance Advisor, Query Profiler).Automated Data Pipeline Engineering: - Design and maintain highly flexible automated data pipelines. - Use Argo Workflows for managing container-native tasks on Kubernetes. - Use SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) for building batch processing pipelines and orchestrating them via Argo Workflows. - Use Debezium and Kafka or design and build real-time pipelines for Change Data Capture (CDC).Required Qualifications and Foundation - Proven experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), especially in SQL Server or PostgreSQL environments. - Deep expertise in the SQL language. - Understanding of Data Modeling, Database Security, and Data Integrity. - Strong enthusiasm and motivation for self-development to learn new skills in Python, Cloud, and AI (Strong Desire to Learn).Skills to be Developed (Future Data Engineering Skills)Streaming Processing and Workflow Management: - Python and Scripting - Apache Kafka and event streaming architecture - Argo Workflows and Kubernetes/Container principles - Debezium and Change Data Capture (CDC) principlesAdvanced Databases and Cloud Services: - MongoDB Atlas (including Vector Search) - AWS Aurora and other cloud services - dbt (Data Build Tool), Debezium, and other ETL toolsArtificial Intelligence (AI/ML): - Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) principlesQualifications;Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field.5 - 8 years of experience as a Database Administrator (DBA), with strong hands-on expertise in SQL Server or PostgreSQL environments.Deep proficiency in SQL language, including query optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.Strong understanding of Data Modeling, Database Security, Backup/Recovery, and Data Integrity principles.Experience managing SQL Server migrations, upgrades, and ensuring system stability and performance.Demonstrated ability in diagnosing and resolving performance issues, including Slow Queries and Stored Procedures.Experience implementing and supporting High-Availability (HA) OLTP databases in both On-Premise and Cloud environments.Familiarity with database performance monitoring tools such as SolarWinds DPA, SQL Sentry, Amazon RDS Performance Insights, or MongoDB Atlas Performance Advisor / Query Profiler.Experience designing or maintaining automated data pipelines, including tools such as Argo Workflows, SSIS, Debezium, and Kafka for Change Data Capture (CDC).Strong motivation for continuous self-development and willingness to learn new skills in Python, Cloud Technologies, and AI.Location : Phaya Thai, Bangkok (On-Site 100%)Employee Type : Full Time
