Serving clients across five continents and the Pacific region, GHD people share a passion for exceeding the expectations of our clients and contributing to their success.We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi.Role OverviewAs a Senior Design Electrical Engineer, you will lead the electrical design scope across a variety of infrastructure, buildings, and transport projects. You will provide technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and ensure delivery excellence in compliance with local authority regulations and international standards.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design of electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, earthing, and lightning protection.Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.Conduct electrical calculations: load analysis, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop, and cable sizing.Ensure compliance with DEWA, ADDC, UAE Fire Code, and other authority requirements.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.Supervise junior engineers and ensure adherence to delivery standards and procedures.Provide technical leadership and resolve design challenges using industry best practices.Maintain client relationships and ensure repeat business through excellent service and delivery.May be responsible for smaller or routine projects as Project Manager.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 8+years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the UAE.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and electrical design software.Strong understanding of UAE authority requirements and international codes.Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams.Excellent problem-solving, coordination, and communication skills.Take on some of the worlds toughest challenges- with everyone at GHD backing you every step of the way.At GHD, we celebrate the power of a multicultural workforce and champion individual achievement.
