Position SummaryThe DevOps Delivery Project Manager & Scrum Master is a senior hybrid role that combines:Agile program delivery managementDevOps coordinationGitHub Actions Enterprise governance ownershipwithin the DevOps Engineering Shared Services team.This individual is accountable for end-to-end sprint planning, backlog management, and on-scope, on-time delivery of data analytics products and DevOps software deliverables.The role ensures all sprint commitments align with business priorities defined by Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Supply Chain Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), supporting both upstream (manufacturers) and downstream (pharmacies, hospitals, clinics) data service initiatives.In addition to project delivery, this role owns GitHub Enterprise governance, administration, and development workflow controls for the entire DevOps Software Engineering squad, ensuring:Standardized repository managementBranch protection rulesAudit traceabilityCompliance with global InfoSec and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) standardsThis position requires a strong mix of Agile project leadership, DevOps technical literacy, and enterprise governance experience, serving as the connective link between Product Management and the Software Engineering delivery squad.Primary ResponsibilitiesSprint Delivery & Agile Program ManagementLead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies: sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.Manage end-to-end sprint cycles for multiple data analytics and software delivery streams within DevOps Shared Services.Partner with Business Analysts, Supply Chain SMEs, and Product Managers to translate business requirements into prioritized, well-defined user stories, acceptance criteria, and epics.Ensure user stories are estimated, tracked, and delivered according to sprint timelines and capacity.Maintain and communicate sprint burndown, velocity, and progress reports to the Director of DevOps Engineering Shared Services and the Core Product Governance team.Proactively identify delivery risks, interdependencies, and blockers across cross-functional teams (QA, Platform, SRE, Data Science).Facilitate backlog triage and prioritization based on business urgency, technical dependencies, and architecture alignment.Drive continuous improvement in Agile maturity, DevOps practices, and cross-team coordination.Coordinate and document sprint retrospectives with actionable improvement commitments.GitHub Enterprise Governance & AdministrationServe as the GitHub Enterprise Administrator and Governance Owner for all DevOps Engineering repositories.Enforce GitHub governance standards: branch protection rules, pull request reviews, version tagging, and CI/CD policy compliance.Manage access control, repository provisioning, and contributor permissions in alignment with enterprise IAM and RBAC/ABAC policies.Collaborate with QA and DevOps teams to integrate automated build, testing, and deployment validation workflows through GitHub Actions.Maintain audit-ready documentation of all repository configurations, workflow definitions, and release processes.Define and maintain operational standards for code commit message conventions, code review processes, and automated pipeline triggers.Partner with QA and Platform Architecture to ensure all code repositories adhere to SAST/DAST scan gates and DevSecOps policies.Monitor and document repository metrics (commits, pull requests, merges to main, test status, deployment success rate) to provide performance visibility and compliance.Coordinate GitHub administration support and governance with Corporate IT and Security teams.Project Delivery & CoordinationMaintain an up-to-date Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and delivery roadmap for all DevOps software initiatives.Align sprint deliverables with product release milestones, ensuring readiness from Dev → QA → Staging → Production.Partner with the Director of DevOps Engineering and Principal Architect to align sprint outputs to strategic roadmaps and data platform evolution.Collaborate with QA and SRE leaders to manage release readiness and production change control processes.Track progress across all delivery pipelines—ensuring traceability between user stories, commits, builds, tests, and deployments.Manage stakeholder communications, sprint dashboards, and delivery reports for internal and external program visibility.Lead cross-team delivery syncs across DevOps, Architecture, DataOps, and Customer Data Services Shared Services teams.Governance, Compliance & DocumentationEnsure adherence to enterprise SDLC, InfoSec, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements for all DevOps software development activities.Maintain detailed documentation for sprint deliverables, backlog prioritization, GitHub repositories, and automation workflows.Serve as the Scrum governance liaison with the Corporate PMO chapter, ensuring project tracking aligns with enterprise portfolio management systems, principles, policies, and standards.Collaborate with QA and Security teams to enforce four-eyes-principle reviews, code promotion, and change control processes between environments (Dev → Test → Staging → Production).Manage and maintain all Mural/Miro boards, Jira, Confluence, and GitHub README documentation associated with sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release retrospectives.Support audit and compliance reviews by maintaining traceable records of sprint outcomes, GitHub workflows, and sprint/major release approvals.Leadership & Continuous ImprovementChampion Agile and DevOps best practices across the Data Services organization.Lead sprint performance retrospectives and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.Mentor team members on Agile delivery, DevOps pipeline visibility, and collaborative backlog management.Partner with architects and software engineers DevOps engineers on delivery cadence and governance.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline (Master’s preferred).Minimum 5+ years managing Agile or DevOps software delivery projects in enterprise-scale environments.7+ years of hands-on Agile Scrum Master experience, preferably with GitHub Enterprise or similar tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps).Deep understanding of Agile and Scrum frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps engineering workflows.Experience managing user story backlogs, sprint metrics, and Jira/Confluence repositories.Proven experience with GitHub Enterprise governance and repository administration, including branching strategy and pull request workflows.Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and infrastructure automation (Terraform, Helm charts, ArgoCD).Strong collaboration with QA, Architecture, and SRE teams for release readiness and change
