Senior Director, Clinical Development Asset Lead Early DevelopmentImmunology, Rare Disease, Pulmonology, Respiratory FocusRemote role and occasional travel to HQ in Europe may be requiredRight to Work in Switzerland is requiredAbout the CompanyWe are working with a European biotech organisation, who are developing novel therapeutics for a range of rare diseases. They have achieved FDA success with a few of their programs, which are now launching into further markets around the world. The portfolio ranges from preclinical to approved products, with multiple new indications currently being explored across multiple rare indications.About the RoleThis role is an exciting opportunity to join as an Asset Lead, Clinical Development, Early Development. Sitting in the global clinical development group, this role is newly created to lead a new asset moving into FIH clinical trials. You will provide strategic clinical development guidance during early asset development, including TPP, clinical development plans, indication selection, labelling potential, initial assessment of efficacy and safety, and understanding the competitive landscape. The asset will be explored for multiple indications, so there is potential for line management of other MDs working in Indication & Study Teams.We are looking for candidates who have the below experience:Medical Doctor with specialty education preferred in either pulmonary or immunology.In-depth understanding of global drug development & registration from at least 5 years of pharma/ biotech industry experience, focused on clinical development.Experience in pre-clinical development & translational medicine will also be required for this role.Proven interpersonal skills in a global and intercultural environment, including leading through influence without necessarily having direct reporting lines.Rare Disease or Orphan Drug experience will be beneficial but not essentialA willingness to work operationally and "hands-on" when required to get tasks completedA desire to work in a biotech environment which can be fast-paced & demanding, whilst also being able to adapt to any strategic changes in pipeline direction.Please apply with an up to date CV for consideration.
