The role will also consolidate the investment picture for the Quality Systems function. The role will have ownership of specific end to end business processes for Innovative Medicine Quality. The leader will continue to shape supply chain resiliency in close collaboration with R&D, Commercial, Supply Chain and Enterprise functions. This role will have oversight over a group of e2e business excellence people who work primarily on e2e programs and support Innovative Medicine Quality with strategic problem statements, leading improvements in e2e processes in partnership with key business functions.ResponsibilitiesThe enablement of the Quality processes and be very close business partner to the members of the Quality Systems & Innovative Medicine Quality Leadership teams.The process model and decomposition, ensures the documentation of processes, makes these available thru training, drives consistency and continuous improvement in line with the business needs and scopeInvestment management for Quality Systems in close collaboration with the IMQ Strategy & Operations function. This includes providing status updates in close collaboration with Strategy & Operations function and finance.End to End performance management as well as tiered performance management, this includes both the monthly scorecard reviews with IMQ LT as well as the ownership over the process development of a fully connected performance management structure (tiered performance management).Resiliency ownership includes the foundational work on risk assessments, the creation of transparency on the status of resiliency in the supply chain (product and portfolio), as well as being the single point of contact for any SC resiliency challenges in the IM Quality function. It also includes the creation/consolidation of the content of the yearly BoD review on risk.Talent development in the team, ensures positions are filled with best-in-class talent who are able to drive progression in how we work and ensure talent can flow to next impactful positions.Excellent connections with the other excellence groups in IMQ, Enterprise and partner functions/Collaboration in specific areas with R&D and Commercial to ensure IMQ processes are well alignedRequired Minimum EducationA Bachelor’s degree is required. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.Experience And SkillsA minimum 10-12 years relevant business experience is required.A minimum of 8 years in Supply Chain (Operational), Quality or R&D is required.Black Belt Certification is preferred.Proven overall PE knowledge in Six Sigma, Lean or DEX is required.High tolerance for ambiguity in a complex environment. Makes the complex clear and easily understood by others.Ability to build effective partnering relationships.Familiarity with all aspects of the area supported, knows how value is created in the business, understanding the key levers for driving breakthrough improvement.Understanding of overall business environment, including financial acumen.Leverage a deep understanding of internal and external customer needs and insights to inform decision making and strengthen overall value to the customer.Track record of influencing the external environment based on knowledge of social, political, regulatory and economic issues affecting businesses domestically and globally.Consensus management skills.Full understanding of performance management metrics and ability to link them to strategic objectives.Insight and business acumen, outside orientation and networking capability.Leverage business metrics, analytics and external data to generate insights and drive evidence-based decision makingChallenge business thinking and confront areas where improvement and breakthrough is possible.Driving business improvements and ensuring that projects and programs are implemented well.Excellent People Management skills and proven track record in building high performing teams.Coaching leadership style that develops talent with proven success as people leader.Demonstrated ability to work across organizational boundaries through influence, negotiation and partnering.
