Senior Education Officer (EOSD) - Digital and Virtual Learning

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Digital and Virtual Learning team as a Senior Education Officer.The successful applicants will develop resources and capability programs that support teachers and school leaders to explore and enhance digital teaching and learning. Find out more about working with us .Responsibilities IncludeExploring and translating contemporary research and practices that support leadership of digital teaching and learning across schools, and the enhancement of teacher capability and confidence in:Digitally enabled and enhanced pedagogiesDigital tools, resources and environments — including emerging technologies such as generative AIDigital literacies, decisions and behaviours.Developing and delivering a suite of professional learning resources and capability programs and activities relating to the above areas.The Senior Education Officers WillDevelop resources to expand the Digital Learning HubDevelop on-demand learning content as part of the Digital Capability Suite, including materials to build capability in the effective and ethical use of generative AI to support teaching and learningProduce and facilitate in-person and online workshops, masterclasses, training programs and communities of practice to support: The Queensland Digital Competency GuideDigitally enabled and enhanced pedagogyEmerging technologies and the use of generative AI in educationEnhance guidance materials and frameworks that support the implementation of digital tools and generative AI in schools, along with other key and emerging prioritiesIdentify and enable innovative, future-focused learning solutions to address challenges to teaching and learning practices across a range of teacher, leader and school contexts.Please refer to the attached role description for the full list of responsibilities and mandatory requirements for this position.Interested?
