This ability has made us a leader in the engineering and construction communities, and has strengthened our reputation as being progressive, innovative, and a great place to work.Job DescriptionSenior Electrical-Communications Engineer, Coffman Engineers, Tamuning, GU: Responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical systems and infrastructure for a variety of commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.Duties and responsibilities of the position include:Scope and write proposals for electrical system design projects for military and commercial projects (e.g., cabling systems and infrastructure).Perform low-voltage electrical system design (wiring) for interior and exterior communication infrastructure, access control systems, CCTV systems, public address systems, fire alarm and mass notification systems, and intercommunication systems.Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate detailed phases of electrical and systems work as part of projects of varying sizes.Coordinate and participate in multiple projects simultaneously and profitably.Serve as a resource to a small team on infrastructure design projects.Guide the technical work done by others and ensure quality outcome.Contribute to strategic pursuit of projects and development of clients.Prepare technical and non-technical presentations to office staff and clients.Ability to serve as a team subject-matter expertQualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Education: A bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign degree equivalent) in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a closely related field.Experience: Ten years of experience in an electrical engineering-related occupation.SKILLS/SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Experience must include the following:Ten years of experience working in communications or telecommunications design/developmentTen years of experience working with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) and Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) design requirements for military projectsNine years of experience working in fire alarm and mass notification designRegistered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certification required at time of application.Experience may be gained concurrently.Additional InformationCoffman Engineers’ Employee Referral Program applies to this position.
