Here, you’ll be supported in progressing – whatever your ambitions.Advancing possibilities for a brighter tomorrowWe are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer on a permanent basis to join our team.Job PurposeThe candidate will contribute their electronic engineering expertise to all stages of medical device development and sustaining engineering activities across multiple projects. They will be responsible for developing technological solutions and leading all aspects of electronic development. The role also involves providing technical mentorship to junior engineers and delegating project tasks across the electronics team. Additionally, the candidate will serve as the primary technical representative for the electronics team, presenting project updates and addressing technical concerns to systems teams and senior management.Key ResponsibilitiesLead electronics designs from concept to productionBecome a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for design of external electrical medical equipment for new product development projects as well as sustaining engineering and value improvement projectsAnalyze and assess technical reports and other information to make recommendations for electronic components and design approaches Continuously improve processes and work methodologies by interfacing with peers/cross-functional groups and analyzing activities to improve workflow and work processesIn all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and proceduresMust have good communication and interpersonal skillsProvide Technical support, as required, to technology and product development teamsMust be a self-starter, manage own time and prioritize tasks based on business prioritiesAbility to delegate tasks of larger projects across a development teamPrevious experience in the technical mentorship of junior engineersWhat We’re Looking ForEducation & Experience:Hons bachelor’s degree in electronic, computer engineering or equivalent+5 years’ experience in the medical device industry or other similarly regulated fieldExperience working with international standards such as IEC 60601 and IEC 61000Strong communications and time management abilitiesStrong technical knowledge of electronic design including electronic simulation, schematic capture, and PCB layoutExperienced in design of drive and control electronics for DC, stepper, and BLDC motors.Lab skills and experience with debugging, prototyping, general test equipment setup for electronic designs.Experience in designing to solve and mitigate EMC issuesDeep understanding of requirements adherence principles (product specifications, etc.)Prior experience working with external vendors.Preferred QualificationsMaster’s degree in a relevant fieldExperience as a technical leader in more than one projectFamiliarity with design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT)Requisition ID: 613153As a leader in medical science for more than 40 years, we are committed to solving the challenges that matter most – united by a deep caring for human life.
