The candidate must be confident in all phases of electrical design, from concept to site support, and will be responsible for both technical execution and coordination with other disciplines. Strong experience with design tools and engineering standards is required. Senior Electrical Engineer Main Task:Independent in Load List definition, Equipment sizing, SLD developmentPreparation of electrical equipment Data Sheets and technical specificationsTechnical evaluation of vendor offersCable sizing and schedule preparationElectrical system installation design (MTO preparation, cable routing definition, etc.)Power distribution, earthing and lighting system detail designLeading the design for a complete electrical system design development, producing the project plans, drawings, schedules and specifications as required to meet client expectations.Perform all electrical calculations required to ensure a safe and cost effective design that adheres to applicable codes.Performing FAT, pre-commissioning and commissioning activitiesCoordinate with Project Managers and third-party engineering disciplines as it pertains to the electrical system design.Ensuring adherence to Standards & Procedures and HSE policiesPerform site walks and field verification as required to develop accurate designs, resolve coordination issues, and ultimately provide solutions to the clientEnsuring that all work is properly checked in accordance with Standards & ProceduresEssential Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum 5+ years’ experience in Oil & Gas and industrial plant electrical designDeep understanding of electrical circuits, power systems (Medium and Low Voltage), control systemsStrong grasp of grounding system principles, electrical three-phase machines, automation and control systems, instrumentation and electrical (I&E) engineering and principles for industrial facilitiesAbility to specify, develop settings for relays for power system applicationsSoftware knowledge and certifications: ETAP, Caneco, Dialux, Flash or Zeus, Drafting/design experience with AutoCAD is preferred, similar CAD system experience is also valued. Experience with AVEVA E3D, Revit, Navisworks, and/or AutoCAD Electrical is a plus.Ability to read, interpret and develop controls for motor starting equipment, switchgear, and related electrical equipment.Ability to specify, develop settings for relays for power system applications.Familiarity with generator operational characteristics, governance and voltage regulation systemsEnglish language – very good to excellent (additional languages are a plus)Ability to transformers, VFDs, motor starters, MCCs, switchgear and related distribution equipmentStrong communication, teamwork, and project leadership skillsCapability to train engineers and interface with clients and company management throughout the project lifecycle, to report project status, risks, and resolutionsStrong knowledge of project execution phasesProficiency in conducting electrical power system studies.
