Electrical Engineer (Senior-Level) Loring Consulting Engineers, Inc. We are looking for new members to join our collaborative environment and make a difference on impactful projects.The TeamWe are seeking an Electrical Engineer with a proven interest in building design and sound knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals for an immediate full-time position in our Kingston, Jamaica office. This incumbent will report in office 5 days/week.Role and ResponsibilitiesMain responsibilities include but are not limited to:Design power, lighting, fire alarm, and telecommunications plans including all associated circuitry, details, one-line diagrams, and specifications.Perform system design calculations, load calculations, lighting, and any other calculations required to support electrical design.Develop data analytics tools for engineering projects.Review of vendor drawings to ensure conformity with engineering designs equipment sizing.Coordination with other engineering disciplines to ensure the accuracy of design, and the timely flow of information throughout the project.Develop and recommend improvements in design standards and improve work qualityReport writing and specification preparation.Coordinate work with engineers of other disciplines and architects.Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs and discuss design issues with them.Train/Oversee/Mentor -on-site electrical/mechanical designers.Qualifications and Education RequirementsA bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.Understanding of the construction industry specific to electrical building systems.Minimum of 8 years professional experience.Professional Engineering License required.Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both verbally and in writing.Strong computer skills.Experience with 2D and 3D design tools (AutoCAD/Revit).Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).Strong Analytical and quantitative skills, and a demonstrated capability for analysis, problem solving and strategic thinking.Strong initiative—the willingness and ability to succeed in a collaborative, team-based environment.Ability to manage time appropriately and multi-task with multiple projects in order to meet deadlines;
