Job Description

Job Purpose:To manage and execute the procurement of electromechanical materials, equipment, and subcontracted services in compliance with project specifications, budget, and schedule requirements. Ensure the timely delivery of MEP items to support ongoing site activities.Key Responsibilities:1. Procurement Planning & CoordinationReview project specifications, BOQ, and drawings to identify electromechanical material requirements (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire fighting, instrumentation, etc.).Prepare material procurement schedules aligned with project timelines.Coordinate with engineering, planning, and construction teams to prioritize procurement needs.2. Vendor Management & SourcingIdentify, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers and subcontractors (local and international).Obtain technical and commercial offers, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.Conduct techno-commercial evaluations and prepare comparison statements for management approval.Negotiate with vendors to achieve cost optimization and favorable terms.3. Technical ComplianceLiaise with the engineering team for material submittal preparation and approval.Ensure all materials comply with Saudi and international standards (SASO, IEC, ASTM, etc.).Follow up on consultant/client approvals for submitted materials.4. Order Processing & DeliveryIssue purchase orders and follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery.Monitor production, inspection, shipment, and logistics until delivery to site or warehouse.Coordinate with logistics and customs clearance teams for import materials.5. Documentation & ReportingMaintain up-to-date procurement logs, supplier databases, and material tracking sheets.Provide periodic procurement status reports to management and project teams.Ensure all procurement documentation complies with company and project audit requirements.Qualifications & Skills:Education:Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electromechanical Engineering.Experience:6–10 years of experience in procurement of electromechanical systems in construction projects (preferably in KSA or GCC).Strong background in MEP systems: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire fighting, and control systems.Skills:Knowledge of procurement procedures and supply chain management.Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / Microsoft Dynamics).Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.Excellent technical understanding of MEP materials and equipment.Fluent in English (Arabic is an advantage).Preferred Experience:Experience in infrastructure, water, utilities, or large-scale building projects.Familiarity with Saudi Aramco, SEC, or Royal Commission procurement standards (if applicable).Knowledge of local supplier market in KSA.
