Headquartered in Singapore, SJ is a diverse collective of experts delivering sustainable and high-impact solutions across the built environment.The RoleAs part of our PMC team, the Senior Engineer – Mechanical will be responsible for reviewing and coordinating high-quality mechanical designs for JEDCO projects. Senior mechanical engineer will be responsible for design management, construction management and site supervision. This role includes wring scope of work, preparing Business cases, managing tender stage and post contract stages covering whole project life cycle. The Senior Engineer will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide efficient, innovative, and cost-effective engineering solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical advise on detailed mechanical designs including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.Review and advise on design calculations, specifications, and technical documentation in compliance with relevant codes and project requirements.Review designs and drawings to ensure accuracy, quality, and coordination across disciplines.Support the technical manager and Project Manager in planning, design management, and project delivery.Coordinate with architects, structural, electrical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.Conduct technical evaluations, value engineering, and sustainability assessments for mechanical systems.Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and site inspections when required.Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices within the mechanical team.Manage the projects from initiation to close out as project leadKey Qualifications And ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.min. 15 years of experience in mechanical design and coordination within a consultancy, PMC or multidisciplinary engineering environment.Proven experience in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system design for large-scale buildings or infrastructure projects.Strong knowledge of international standards such as ASHRAE, NFPA, CIBSE, and local authority regulations.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, and other relevant simulation tools.Experience with sustainable design, energy efficiency analysis, or LEED-accredited projects is an advantage.PMC or design experience in Airport projectsKey Knowledge And SkillsStrong technical and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and quality.Excellent coordination and communication skills for effective teamwork across disciplines.Ability to manage multiple design tasks and meet project deadlines.Commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainability in design.Ability to lead the teams and manage the large scale projects.How To ApplyPlease submit your application through our official careers portal.
