Zutari values inclusion and recognises the importance of a diverse, talented workforce, believing that people need other people to succeed.What kind of talent do we pursue?We employ people with the right attitude and a positive mindset, who are motivated by doing the right thing, getting things done and sharing a sense of urgency.People who have an impact on our teams and broader community.People who think differently and connect with those around them to co-create new opportunities and leave a meaningful legacy.Key Role AccountabilitiesWork collaboratively within Zutari to achieve goals Client facing role Prepare proposals and make presentations Monthly reporting function across projects Ensure substantiation of designs Define, maintain and work to a project scope, design criteria and schedule Manage drawing liaison and provide general engineering support Manage and co-ordinate technical interfaces on projects Generation of Tender and Project documentation and costings Technical support during manufacturing, construction and quality assurance procedure Provide support during trouble shooting To know, understand, define, maintain and ensure work is executed to a project scope of work and general plant design criteria and specifications Apply knowledge of statutory requirements and experience of similar projects Ensure regular interaction between relevant parties and disciplines on a Project Be aware of, and work to, the project budget Site Involvement – Support to the Construction and Commissioning phases as and when required Minimum RequirementsBEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a postgraduate qualificationRegistered as a Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa or evidence of registration progressQualification related to the Design and Operations of Belt Conveyor or Belt Conveying of bulk solids would be advantageous Certification pertaining to Bulk Transfer Chute Design and Modelling would be advantageousA minimum of 5 years relevant experience, including experience of lump sum turn-key type projects, EPCM projects and studies in the mining and materials handling sectorDelivering front end engineering study work Technical design and design management experience Mechanical design experience Relevant project management and/or engineering management and/or design experience related to large projects in a mining, industrial and/or energy environment Experience in large multi-disciplinary projects Experience in the management systems applicable to the management and reporting on large and/or EPCM and EPC projects Ability to lead projects, develop business and manage client relationships Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills (English)Computer literacy: BMH design package (Sidewinder and Belt Analyst), Flow simulation and 3D package (advantageous) and MS Office SuiteWe believe that a diverse workforce is key to our business success.
