If you're ready to take the next step in your career, apply now and become part of the team!The Opportunity As a Senior Enterprise Underwriting Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Operations and will be responsible for leading the Enterprise Underwriting Operations teams. As part of this role you will be an integral stakeholder in executing Customer Driven Transformation as a key strategic pillar for Allianz Ireland. This will include overseeing the people, operations, performance and ensuring the strategy is operationalized effectively across the enterprise operations area.You will be tasked with localising and implementing the Enterprise Game Plan, which includes achieving Growth Targets for new and renewing business. Collaboration with IT, Product, and Customer colleagues will be necessary to design and implement a broker SME service proposition taking a customer-driven approach that prioritizes simplicity for customers and brokers, as well as efficiency for Allianz.You will interact with the local Board of Management, Executive Management, and management colleagues across the Allianz Ireland business at strategic, operational and reporting levels.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership responsibility for four Enterprise Underwriting Operations teams, tasked with the operational underwriting of SME property, liability and motor business, together with Social, Schemes, Religious and Education businessDrive and deliver the strategic and operational goals of the Enterprise Game Plan taking a Customer-Driven approachLocalise and implement these strategic objectives to deliver through the Enterprise Underwriting Operations areaDeliver on Enterprise growth targets within the Enterprise Game Plan for both acquiring new business and retaining existing customersRepresent Enterprise Underwriting Operations at Enterprise Steering & other relevant senior fora as required. Take ownership of allocated topics, working cross functionally as required to deliverCollaborate across other departments to actively inform and shape the Enterprise broker service proposition. Set & achieve Beat the Best service standards and develop high performing teams that demonstrate a clear commitment to Customer Driven TransformationPlan and control against resource cost & productivity metrics, including; setting of FTE budgets to deliver on business targets (GWP), target productivity ratios (GWP: FTE). Run Control IQ methodology (Active Ops) for Enterprise Underwriting Operations area to plan and maximise capacity utilisation. Take a data led approach to annual budget and corporate planning, applying a longer term strategic lens & supporting with investment cases and rationale. Evaluate and align the Enterprise Underwriting Operations Quality Management System with customer, regulatory and underwriting metrics. Deliver on initiatives to improve quality outcomes, lead system and process continuous improvements that enhance customer and underwriting qualityLead talent management and succession planning initiatives for the department, and support staff development through PDP Create consistency in training standards, including the development of cross-skilled underwriters. Align skills & underwriting authority to target market segments, and proactively retain talent. Deploy knowledge management methods to reduce dependencies on key personnel to enhance operational resiliencePlan for implementation of change projects including business subject matter expertise input, resource allocation and UAT supportManage performance review process, support colleagues and direct reports in the achievement of performance objectivesSupport Operational Finance in maximising credit control and premium collections activities Assure compliance with all regulatory requirements, implement compliance by design in all change initiatives and fulfil all reporting obligationsEssentialKey Requirements / Skills & Experience A minimum of 5 years' leadership experience in Operations or Underwriting Management within Financial Services Demonstrated experience as a manager of managers/unit leaders, with responsibility for managing large teamsCIP, Dip CII, Grandfathered or ACII A proven track record of B2B Customer Service delivery, against relevant KPI's (e.g.; service level agreements, targets and quality metrics)Experience of delivering through cross-functional teamsProven track record of achieving P&L related targetsDesirableExperience in working with Commercial Lines (Enterprise) lines of business Relevant third level degree/finance related qualificationExperience with operations or financial managementFamiliarity with the local regulatory context and requirementsProficiency in Active Ops Control IQ productivity methodologyKnowledge and understanding of core Allianz systems and processesOur BenefitsWe offer a competitive remuneration package, generous pension scheme contributions, health insurance, a working from home allowance, numerous wellbeing and family benefits, and a well-connected, accessible location with onsite staff parking and provided lunches.Allianz plc. is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.This is a hybrid remote/in-office roleMccThis role is subject to Minimum Competency Code ("MCC") as provided for by the Central Bank of Ireland.
