Senior Environmental SpecialistWe are looking for a Senior Environmental Specialist to take the lead in developing and operating Oriola’s Environment Management System and environmental reporting – with a specific focus on GHG emissions accounting, data quality, and regulatory compliance. The role is hands-on, analytical, and future-facing – and offers a unique opportunity to shape how Oriola drives sustainable impact. This permanent position is located in Espoo, Finland. We apply hybrid working model.

Skills & RequirementsYour responsibilities: Lead the development of Oriola’s Environmental Management System (EMS) and drive the improvement of environmental data processes, master data (e. g. emissions, energy, waste), reporting practices, analytics, and tools. Own Oriola’s GHG emission accounting methodology and forecasting model, and ensure high-quality Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions calculation, reporting, and progress tracking against science-based targets. Ensure compliance with national and EU-level environmental regulations and frameworks (e. g. CSRD, EU Taxonomy, GHG Protocol, Rinki, dangerous goods) and coordinate required local reporting in Finland (e. g. waste, packaging, energy audits).

Act as Oriola’s local environmental expert in Finland, with a special focus on property, energy, and product quality-related topics. Guide and support internal stakeholders in understanding environmental regulations, dangerous goods, data requirements, roles, and responsibilities. Coordinate the collection, validation, and delivery of environmental data to both internal and external stakeholders (e. g. SBTi, Ecovadis, CDP, customers, and principals) and respond to environmental data requests and sustainability questionnaires. Participate in internal audits related to environmental topics to ensure alignment with internal policies and legal requirements.

Participate in Oriola’s double materiality assessment from an environmental perspective and support broader Group-level sustainability and awareness initiatives (e. g. sustainable procurement, transport, packaging). Ensure all environmental work aligns with Oriola’s Quality Management System, internal policies, and applicable legislation. What We Expect From YouA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in environmental science, engineering, business, finance, or another relevant fieldAt least 2 years of hands-on experience in environmental or sustainability reporting (e. g. GHG Protocol) and knowledge of environmental compliance frameworks (e. g.

SBTi, CSRD, EU Taxonomy)Proficiency in both Finnish and EnglishStrong skills in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ESG reporting tools and ERP systems (e. g.
