DescriptionPosition at Al Jazeera Media NetworkSenior ERP Administration SpecialistAl Jazeera Media Network are hiring a experienced Senior ERP Administration Specialist to manage all ERP related Administration, ERP user and authorization administration, system security, landscape management, architecture, maintenance, upgrades, and migration (SAP BASIS complex functions).This role also extends for the overall ERP technical architecture and its interlinks/interfaces with other 3rd party applications / S/Ws.Position ResponsibilitiesProvide installation, configuration, integration, upgrade, testing and tuning/optimization services for new projects and on-going maintenance for the SAP ECC6 environmentExtensive knowledge in administration of SAP BI, SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP PI, and Solution Manager.Provide performance tuning, problem analysis, upgrades and system administration for ECC6.0 databases and SAP instancesKnowledge in performing client copies, system refreshes, and SAP troubleshooting.Knowledge of SAP Correction and Transport System and SAP Security management.Knowledge of single sign-on (SSO) solutions to portal and backend R/3 and BI systems.Develop and execute SAP data archiving strategy for BI and EnterpriseReview and implement the recommendations of SAP EarlyWatch sessionsInteract with SAP development teams, configuration teams, various technical support teams, and business stakeholders to optimize and maintain the overall SAP reliability, availability, and performance.Provide support in AIX administration including space management, monitoring, performance tuning and security.Research, identify, and formally present opportunities to increase productivity, improve quality, and reduce costs for SAP landscapeMaintain standard operating procedures and documentation.Provide technical expertise and functional knowledge on SAP Basis systems and applicationsResearch new and better ways of solving business problems using SAP Technologies Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the company’s SAP applications owners, IT Infrastructure team and third-party OS/Network/DBA teamsMentor/provides technical guidance to other systems analysts, programmer analysts and SAP developersCommunicate timely and relevant status updates (both verbal and written) to team members and managementEducationBachelor Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field SAP CertifiedExperience6+ years of experience in SAP System Administration and architectureKnowledge and experience with multiple ERP's DBs and OSs e.g. AIX, LINUX, Oracle, SQL, DB2, and OS400.
