Senior Executive - Risk & Compliance

Job Description

Main ObjectivesTo provide enterprise-wide oversight of risk management and compliance, ensuring that BAS's operations align with its unique business model and strategic plan. This includes identifying and mitigating risks, fostering a culture of risk and compliance awareness, and maintaining adherence to regulatory and legal requirements to safeguard business continuity and operational integrity.Main DutiesEnsure accurate and transparent reporting of risk and compliance activities to senior management and external stakeholders.Ensure the organization complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards by developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.Develop, implement, and maintain an enterprise-wide integrated compliance management system (CMS) and enterprise-wide risk management system (ERM).Create and update risk and compliance policies, and review company policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regularly incorporating improvements.Develop official compliance assessment reports with all the results.Develop and update risk assessments reports with all details including mitigation plans, controls, effectiveness of risk, Key Risk Indicators …etc.Prepare and present risk and compliance assessments and dashboards to senior management, the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC), and other stakeholders, providing insights, updates, and strategic recommendations during ARC and executive meetings.Engage with risk and compliance owners to address identified risks, develop action plans, and track the effectiveness of corrective actions over time.Create and deliver training programs, fostering a culture of compliance and risk awareness.Maintain a centralized repository of all risk and compliance documents, ensuring accessibility for audits and reviews, and regularly review industry standards to enhance organizational strategies.Comply with Company's and airport authorities’ health, safety & security requirements.Carries out other similar or related duties as directed by the management.Minimum RequirementsEducation:A bachelor’s degree in law/ business administration, economics, or a related field is required.A professional certification in risk and compliance.Experience:A minimum of 5 - 7 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field.Other Essential Requirements:Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure and with high amount of data.Demonstrated experience in conducting risk assessments, developing risk management strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance.Proven track record of working cross-functionally with different departments to implement risk and compliance initiatives.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Strong knowledge of preparing Board level dashboards and presentations. Effective visibility on applicable local and international laws/ regulations/ standards. Good knowledge of local and international regulations and risk and compliance standards.
