Bangladesh Footwear Industries Ltd is looking for Senior Executive/Assistant Manager (Product Development)Job Description / ResponsibilityDevelop innovative footwear designs for all categories including Kids/Gents/Ladies Sandals, Sports Shoes, Casual Shoes and School shoes.Modify and improve existing products based on feedback from production, merchandising, and customers.Prepare samples, technical specifications, and tech packs for internal approval and supplier production.Collaborate closely with production, QC, and merchandising teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.Provide guidance and training to junior PD staff or interns to build team capability and ensure consistent quality in design output.Evaluate and recommend new materials, components, or technologies that can improve product performance, durability, or reduce production costs.Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor products, and new materials.Suggest product improvements to enhance quality, aesthetics, and functionality.Monitor the development process to ensure timely completion of product launches.Maintain records of product development activities, samples, and design specifications.Educational RequirementsBachelor degree in any disciplineBachelor’s degree in any discipline.Additional certifications in footwear related course are a plus.Experience RequirementsAt least 5 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Tannery/FootwearAdditional RequirementsMinimum 5 years of experience in footwear product development.Hands-on experience in developing and improving footwear products, including Sandals, Sports Shoes, Casual Shoes and School shoes.Experience in preparing samples, technical specifications, and production-ready designs.Familiarity with footwear materials, soles, straps, and construction methods.Proven track record of collaborating with production, merchandising, and QC teams to ensure designs are feasible and cost-effective.Exposure to market trends, competitor analysis, and product innovation.Ability to identify quality issues and suggest design or process improvements.Skills:Strong Design and technical knowledge of footwear.Creativity and innovation in product development.Ability to communicate and collaborate with production and merchandising teams.Knowledge of materials, sole types, and footwear construction techniques.Job LocationNarayanganj
