Job Description
ObjectivePrimary process orientedEnsure complete and accurate preparation and posting of monthly expense, premium and claims journals and ad hoc management adjustments.Responsible for implementing financial planning and analysis, end-to-end finance operations, adherence to and compliance with internal financial rules, controls, and regulations as well as regulatory and statutory requirements.Participate in the preparation of monthly management reporting, review and analysis of financial results with commentary.Demonstrated track record of adding value to a Finance function.Experience working in an accounting or reporting function withinin banking, insurance or similar industry.Ability to manage internal expectations to ensure matters are appropriately prioritised and dealt with in accordance with an agreed timeline and scope.Ability to interpret and analyse complex information, extract meaningful insights and evaluate options for decision making.Pays high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and has the ability to quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.Ensure issues identified through month/quarter end reconciliations are resolved and corrective action(s) taken.Assist the business with preparation and submission of annual Plans and Forecasts.Reflect changes in chart of accounts or department structure changes to existing reports and dashboards.Work within an Agile Finance Function, participating in squad standups and providing updates as neededOrganisation oriented. Identify opportunities to streamline and automate R2R processes.Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.Develop and maintain strong controls to mitigate risks.Continually seek ways to achieve and improve on Service Standards, contribute towards business outcomes and enhance both internal and external customer service by on-job coaching and effective communication.Contribute by way of involvement in projects locally or globally aligned to Accounting Controls and General ledger Accounting.Contribute by way of taking active part in conduct of pilot audits under the R2R domain.Contribute by way of acting as a SME for training related content development in the domain of R2R.Contribute by involving in global FBS transition, Project, Strategic Initiatives, solutioning, analysis in the area of R2RQualification & ExperienceB.com / M.com/ MBA (Finance)/ CA inter, ICWA Inter, CMA or other Commerce & Accounting streams.6-8 plus years of experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting or FPNAExperience in leading and coordinating on Financial Accounting & Reporting or FPNAExcellent Accounting knowledge in SAP ERP environment.Good analytical skills and eye for details.Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.Good organisational and administrative ability including effective time management Should be pro-active, self-reliant, confident and able to remain calm under pressure.Must be able to work effectively within a Team.Task & ActivitiesEnsuring all accounting transactions are accurately recorded and reconciledVerifying completeness and accuracy of financial dataGenerating financial statements and reports using SAPAnalysing financial data to identify discrepancies or issuesIdentifying and resolving discrepancies in SAP accounting entriesInvestigating and resolving issues related to bank reconciliations and intercompany transactionsReviewing and reconciling balance sheet accountsProviding support and guidance to the finance teamAssisting with questions related to SAP accounting and closing processesConducting SAP training for finance team membersWorking with OEs to improve accounting and closing processesAssisting with audit requests and providing necessary documentation[please translate into your local language]82148 | Finance & Accounting | Professional | Non-Executive | Allianz Technology | Full-Time | PermanentAllianz Group is one of the most trusted insurance and asset management companies in the world.
