Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.Key Responsibilities New Product Implementation Support end-to-end operational readiness for new product launches. Coordinate with Distribution, Compliance, Tech, and Ops to ensure seamless onboarding and servicing processes. Map and optimize new product workflows to enable straight-through processing (STP) and minimize manual touchpoints. Ensure new product processes are compliant and scalable. Business Transformation Support Assist in planning and executing transformation initiatives aligned to strategic priorities. Conduct process mapping, data analysis, and pain point identification. Track KPIs and support reporting on initiative outcomes (e.g., STP %, TAT, NPS, cost savings). AI & Automation Enablement Identify and support AI use cases in New Business and Operations (e.g., intelligent document processing, rule-based automation, predictive analytics). Collaborate with Tech/Digital teams to test and deploy AI-enabled solutions. Use data insights to improve underwriting rules, reduce claims leakage, and enhance customer onboarding. Compliance & Risk Appetite and Integration Ensure operational processes meet compliance and risk requirements. Support risk reporting readiness by embedding transparency and traceability into workflows. Required Skills Process Mapping & Analysis : Ability to document and optimize workflows using tools like Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN. Project Coordination : Experience supporting cross-functional initiatives and managing timelines. AI Awareness : Basic understanding of AI applications in business operations. Familiarity with AI tools such as OCR, NLP, and predictive analytics. Ability to translate business needs into AI use cases and support implementation. Data Literacy : Comfortable working with operational data and dashboards (e.g., Excel, Power BI). Communication : Strong written and verbal skills to engage stakeholders and document requirements. Project Experience Supported new product launches with operational process setup and testing. Participated in business transformation or process improvement projects. Contributed to automation or AI implementation in operational areas. Worked with cross-functional teams including Tech, Compliance, and Distribution. Education & Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Information Systems, or related field. Certifications in Lean Six Sigma (Yellow/Green Belt), Agile, or AI/Analytics (e.g., AI for Business, Data Analytics Foundations) are advantageous.
