SENIOR EXECUTIVE, RIG COST CONTROL

Job description: JOB PURPOSE Responsible to support the Drilling Finance & Operations team in monitoring, analyzing and controlling rig-related costs, ensuring accuracy of financial records, compliance with company policies and alignment with budgetary targets. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES •    Prepare monthly, quarterly and annually rig performance and balance sheet position.•    Closely monitor cost performance of Drilling operations/projects.•    Consolidate information from all businesses within Drilling Operations.•    Review, anticipate and recommend pro-active measures to mitigate risks.•    Directly involved in the full spectrum of the annual Business Planning.•    Closely liaise with offshore operations team on existing projects performance.•    Monitor and track daily rig expenditures (OPEX & CAPEX) to ensure costs are within approved budgets.•    Review, validate and process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and contracts related to rig operations.•    Liaise with Rig Managers and other supporting departments to capture accurate cost data and ensure timely             reporting.•    Prepare monthly cost reports, variance analyses, and forecasts for management review.•    Support in developing and maintaining the rig cost allocation model and provide recommendations for cost               optimization.•    Ensure compliance with corporate policies, financial controls, and audit requirements.•    Provide cost insights to Operations and Management to support decision-making.•    Maintain proper documentation and filing of all rig cost-related transactions. QUALIFICATIONS / CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. RELEVANT EXPERIENCE AND PREFERED SKILLS Minimum 7 years experience in cost control/finance, preferably in the oil & gas drilling industry. Strong knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis. Knowledge in Oracle system will be an advantage. Attentive to detail, self-motivated with the ability to work independently and resourceful. Good analytical skills, attention to detail, problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams. Time and process management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritise multiple simultaneous deadlines and setting priorities. Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and privacy. Strong growth mindset, proactive in identifying areas of improvement in workflows and collaborate on implementing solutions. Demonstrate ability to adapt to change and embrace new technologies to improve performance.
