Job description: JOB PURPOSE Lead, plan, monitor, and manage the safe and efficient execution of offshore/onshore projects. Responsible for technical, commercial, and operational deliverables, ensuring alignment with project and department objectives. The Senior Field Engineer will own specific scopes of work, manage resources, and execute offshore installation activities. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Office Review project documentation, highlight discrepancies, and ensure compliance with contract requirements. Plan and allocate engineering resources to meet project schedules. Develop, review, and ensure technical accuracy of installation, procurement, and fabrication documentation. Provide technical support to project, procurement, and subcontracting teams. Deliver presentations, support risk assessments, and guide junior engineers. Coordinate preparation of “as-built” documentation. Offshore/Onshore Lead and brief offshore/onshore teams, ensuring understanding of project, safety, and quality requirements. Manage construction schedules and liaise with OCM/OCS/Barge Superintendent and client representatives. Resolve technical queries during execution and ensure compliance with inspection points. Monitor and report progress, review DPRs, and maintain accurate “as-built” records. Manage equipment mobilization/demobilization and support dive plan generation. QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Chemical/Petroleum/Marine Engineering. Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM). Minimum 5 years’ experience as Field Engineer, with at least 1 year in a lead role. Experience in T&I and EPCIC contracts. Familiar with offshore installation software (MOSES, SACS, Orcaflex, StaadPro, OFFPIPE, ANSYS, AutoCAD). Knowledge of industry codes (ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, DNV, Noble Denton-GLM). Strong IT, technical, and communication skills (English proficiency required). KEY COMPETENCIES Offshore installation, loadout, rigging, and engineering calculations. Planning and execution of transportation barge layouts, dive plans, and installation procedures. Problem-solving, decision-making, and troubleshooting in line with project requirements. Leadership, team development, and ability to work under pressure in offshore/onshore environments. Willing to travel extensively.
