Job Description

Key Responsibilities1. Financial Accounting & ReportingPrepare and review monthly management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules in accordance with MFRS and company policies.Ensure timely closing of accounts for both corporate and project entities.Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of journal entries, accruals, and provisions.Assist in consolidation of group accounts and preparation of financial analysis reports for management review.2. Budgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisAssist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts for both corporate and project operations.Monitor and analyze variances between actual results and budget, providing explanations and recommendations.Support project teams in financial feasibility analysis, cash flow projections, and cost monitoring.3. Treasury & Cash Flow ManagementMonitor cash flow requirements, fund transfers, and banking transactions for operational and project accounts.Assist in maintaining banking relationships and supporting loan drawdowns or financing documentation.4. Audit, Taxation & ComplianceLiaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries to ensure statutory compliance and timely completion of audits.Prepare tax schedules and support submission of corporate tax and SST returns.Ensure adherence to JLand Group’s internal financial policies, procedures, and governance framework.5. Internal Control & Process ImprovementMaintain sound internal controls and proper documentation for all accounting and financial transactions.Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial processes and reporting systems.Support system enhancement or automation initiatives within the Finance function.6. Ad Hoc & Support FunctionsProvide financial data and analysis for management reporting, board papers, and project evaluation.Support cross-functional teams in financial due diligence, joint ventures, and investment-related matters.Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably within property development, construction, or investment sectors.Experience in the banking industry will be an added advantage.
