DescriptionWe're seeking an exceptional Senior Finance Manager to lead Financial Controllership and Accounting for Amazon's European payments entity. This leadership position will play a crucial role in financial compliance and controllership while contributing to strategic initiatives across our European operations.As a Senior Finance Manager, you will lead the Financial Controllership and Accounting function for Amazon Payments Europe S.C.A., ensuring excellence in statutory reporting and regulatory compliance, driving process improvements and optimizing controllership processes across our global matrix environment. Working within our innovative and collaborative culture, you'll have the opportunity to contribute to complex, high-impact projects and shape the financial operations of a key European entity.Key job responsibilitiesResponsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To Lead statutory and regulatory financial reporting, and manage responses to regulatory inquiries Drive critical judgment decisions for financial reporting Lead cross-functional international projects and process improvements Design and implement best-practice controllership standards Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes and controls, including utilizing novel technologies Serve as technical accounting subject matter expert (US GAAP and local GAAP), making key decisions on complex accounting treatments Oversee and manage the external audit process for financial statements, serving as the primary point of contact for auditorsA day in the lifeFinance and Global Business ServicesAbout The TeamAmazon Affinity GroupsBasic Qualifications Demonstrable years of relevant professional experience with accounting and financial reporting related responsibilities Fluent English communication skills Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related fieldPreferred Qualifications Big 4 public accounting experience with multinational clients Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) Knowledge of EU payments regulatory environment and experience managing regulatory relationships Proven track-record in statutory reporting, internal controls, and managing external audits Strong judgment and decision-making capabilities in complex accounting and regulatory matters Excellence in stakeholder management and executive communication Strong project management and prioritization abilities Experience leading through ambiguity and change Tech-savvy with strong analytical capabilities Demonstrated ability to provide strategic direction while maintaining attention to detailAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
