We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager based in Malaysia.The role At Clarins, finance plays a vital role not only in operational excellence but also in shaping the strategic direction of our business. As Senior Finance Manager, you will take ownership of the country’s finance function—including core accounting, FP&A, cash flow and controls—while being empowered by regional expertise and outsourced support in areas such as tax, legal, audit, IT, and procurement. This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role ideal for an agile, hands-on finance leader looking to drive business performance in a fast-paced beauty and retail environment.What You’ll DoStrategic Business PartneringServe as a key advisor to the General Manager and senior leadership, providing financial insights, risk assessments and commercial recommendations.Lead the budgeting, forecasting and rolling forecast process in alignment with regional and business objectives.Guide investment decisions through ROI modelling and scenario planning for key projects (e.g. new store openings, pricing strategies, cost optimizations).Drive operational KPIs and partner closely with sales, marketing and supply chain teams to support growth.Finance Operations, Reporting & ControlsOversee day-to-day finance operations: general ledger, AP/AR, monthly close, treasury, and working capital (DSO, DPO, DSI).Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports and ensure timely submission to the regional and global teams.Lead internal controls, audit readiness, and accurate statutory filings.Streamline cost and reporting processes with a strong focus on efficiency and governance.Supervise procurement oversight and coordinate with supply chain on inventory accuracy.Legal, Audit, Tax & IT Support (via Regional/Outsourced Model)Act as local coordinator between Malaysia entity and regional/legal teams for corporate governance, contract review and compliance.Support statutory audit and corporate tax filings with external providers and regional tax experts.Collaborate with APAC IT team on infrastructure support and system upgrades, ensuring operational continuity across office, retail, and eCommerce channels.People LeadershipLead, mentor and upskill a small team including the Business Controller and Finance Executive.Establish clear KPIs and foster a culture of ownership, continuous improvement and collaboration.Ensure smooth team operations and succession planning during the contract period.About YouEducation & CertificationDegree in Accounting, Finance or Business; CA/CPA certified preferredExperience10–15 years of progressive finance leadership experienceStrong exposure to commercial finance, FP&A and strategic business partneringBackground in retail, FMCG, or consumer goods preferredExperience in handling project-based roles or interim leadership responsibilities is a plusMindset & SkillsAgile, hands-on, and able to navigate ambiguityStrong stakeholder management and assertive communication styleExecutive presence with a solution-oriented approachConfident working in a matrix structure with regional supportData-driven, detail-oriented, and commercially mindedTools & Technical SkillsProficient in Excel, PowerPoint, ERP systems (SAP or similar), Power BI is a plusFamiliar with IFRS/local GAAP and compliance frameworksFluent in English; Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, or Cantonese a plusWhat We OfferAn opportunity to drive meaningful impact in a high-growth environmentExposure to regional collaboration and group-level decision-makingA values-driven, inclusive and dynamic company cultureCompetitive compensation and access to employee perksHybrid working arrangementsIf you have a curious mind, a thirst to go further and the drive to boldly take on new challenges, join us.At Clarins Group, we believe in making life more beautiful for our employees and our customers.
